Hermès Terre d'Hermès
Hermès Terre d'Hermès
THE CREATION In 2006, Jean-Claude Ellena created Terre d'Hermès, a fragrance connecting man to his origins, to the sources of his creative power. Terre d'Hermès tells the story of man's relationship with the earth, his humble and harmonious dialogue with nature and the elements. Since 2016, Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel has been exploring her vision of Terre to identify new possibilities.
OLFACTORY NOTES A mineral, woody fragrance, Terre d'Hermès combines the strength of cedar and the radiance of grapefruit with a vibrant touch of flint.
THE OBJECT At its base, the bottle rests on an orange H, leaving its imprint on the earth. At the top, the light is reflected by metal shoulders. Between the two, the transparency of the fragrance.
THE HERMÈS DETAIL When held in the hand, the Terre d'Hermès bottle unveils its many details: the House's iconic Clou de Selle, the sliding cover used to release the spray, etc. Created by designer Philippe Mouquet, it is inspired by a bottle in a travel vanity case that is conserved at the Emile Hermès museum.
